Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes)
Because I do not have the leatherworking skills to create the garments from scratch, I purchased jackets and made a great deal of additions to them. Modifications included painting the appropriate color, machine- or hand-sewing stitching, swapping buttons, and adding studs. The distinctive back prints were painstakingly recreated in Illustrator and transferred to the garments.
I also built additional elements including his 'power glove' accessory, sculpting the belt buckle, and styling wig and makeup.

This cosplay was featured in the magazine Game Informer.

The jacket designs were completed before the games' public release, meaning I had to rely on limited promotional material. The below props were remade post-release, when I had access to screencaps and model rips that made analyzing the designs much easier.

The webbing harness is hand-made to fit me; I revised and remade it multiple times to better match its onscreen design. The S-Mart employee smock was modified from a pattern to include the chest pocket, piping, and sleeve cuffs of the film costume.

The iconic chainsaw arm is heavily modified from a Halloween prop: not only can I fit my hand inside, it retains the out-of-the-box functions of moving blade and sound, and I made many external modifications to make it closer resemble the Homelite XL model used in the movies.

Johnny Silverhand (Cyberpunk 2077)
This cosplay was constructed prior to the release of the game; at the time, the character had only just been revealed – appearing in a single trailer (with barely ten seconds of screen time) and a single promotional image. The vest and arm were hand-patterned based on what I could glean.
My cosplay placed third in a regional cosplay contest held at PAX West 2019.

Because this costume and makeup is fairly simple, I tend to spend more time editing the photos to evoke the distinctive lighting and visual style of the movies and their promotional art.
